bike/walking lanes

I live in the Canyon Lake area and would like to see bike/walking/jogging paths integrated into any new road expansion. River Road is a very good example. Everyday there are a large number of cyclists, runners and walkers enjoying River Rd. Unfortunately for those not in a motorized vehicle the narrow winding road is hazardous. Granted, the speed limit varies from 20 mph to 30 mph throughout the entire stretch of road but not everyone follows the speed limit (surprise) so rounding a corner in a vehicle with a cyclist directly in its path creates a hazardous condition. Having room on the road for both motorized and non-motorized entities should be considered detrimental in all future planning.

So that you can see the conditions on River Rd. I have posted a Youtube video.

  2. Did you attend the New Braunfels Mobility 2040 public meeting. Someone else was talking about cycling on River Road. They wanted to control cycling there.
